Posted by Gan Jia Min Shermane.

Regards to the amount of radiation exposed to the environment was 163 times of what was previously recorded. It stated that the wind direction in Fukushima has led to the increase in the amount of radiation in the south of Fukushima. I was horrified by the report of the amount of radiation in Tokyo found to be higher in certain extend.

Due to the capacity of the Radiation exposed, it was reported to be life-threatening as the level of radiation has appeared to exceed its average amount where it can be harmful to human’s health. It has led to the governments’ concerns over the citizens’ health, encouraging them to stay indoors, and even tried to widen evacuation zones and such.

Thankfully, it was said that the radiation level does not appeared to be as life-threatening as outside the evacuation area of 20 kilometres, for this I felt actually relieved for them and rather concerned about the imported goods and food from Tokyo and such, as there may be a certain level of percentages that food may be contaminated with radioactive. Such events happened almost immediate and I felt vulnerable towards, what I can actually do for them except to donate a certain amount of my allowance to them. I prayed for the best in their soon recovery as the radiation may have made the place isolated due to the evacuation plans and such. However, I must say that I am rather pleased that many countries tried to get involved by giving a hand in assisting and also tried to cater to their needs.
