Based on the article, ‘What migrant workers love about Singapore’ shows that migrant workers felt ease being around Singapore as they have not faced issues like biasedness among Singaporeans. If such issues really happen, it may not only cause conflicts but also bring about unhappiness to people living in the same state. Hence, events were organised by Migrant Workers Centre to promote harmony and for its people to receive differences through integration.
In a nut shell, I believe that promoting harmony is certainly very important as when people start to accept and understand each other’s; needs, it may help to relieve problems such as conflicts. Imagine if the conflict really does happen it may not only cause unhappiness around but also ruins Singapore impressions of a particular foreigner in public. I was glad that event like this was organised, as I believe that it can creates awareness to the people of the needs and importance of maintaining a better relationship.
