Based on the article, ’thirteen tyres on nine vehicles punctured in one day’. It stated that a culprit was puncturing tyres in Telok Blangah on a Friday, October 22nd, 2010. A driver found his Comfort taxi’s three tyres to be punctured within ten short minutes, which has made the driver, Mr Chye Ah Choi, sixty years old, to fork out his savings for the damage done to its taxi. The second victim, Ms Yvonne Yoong, twenty-six years old, a purchaser, claimed that both of her car tyres were deliberately punctured by someone.
Overall, I felt that the culprit that does this sort of prank has been overboard as the culprit still continued puncturing other vehicles’ tyres in other car parks. I am frustrated with the culprit for not being considerate enough and had agreed that pranks like this shoul
should not be easily forgiven if he or she was actually caught red-handed. This is because I believe that the culprit has intentionally caused much inconvenience and unhappiness among the drivers. I felt that the culprit should pay for his or her price for executing such pranks. Hence, I think a stronger fine was then reasonable.
