This was a newspaper report posted on 21 June 2011. Titled: Defectors report North Korean jail abuse. As we all know, North Korea remains the only communist country left in the world. Separated since the end of World War II, the 2 Koreas have been at loggerheads at each other, with North Korea threatening to declare war on South Korea every few months.

This article talks about North Koreans being abused in the jails. The worse case report in the article being, a pregnant lady was injected forcibly to abort the baby but the baby came out alive. Yet it could not live to see another day as the guards killed the baby. Most deaths in North Korea were being caused by malnutrition, disease and mistreatment. 800 dead bodies was seen by another Defector in his 18-month jail term. Luckily, South Korea has decided to make North Korea face the music for the abusing of Human Rights.

After reading this article, i felt sad for the victims as they were being tortured and could not say a word to it. North Korea should abolish communism in the country and merge with South Korea as soon as possible. It is a good thing that South Korea is finally speaking up on the humans rights issue in North Korea. This should attract the world's attention on North Korea's human rights issue and ensure that one more country is free from abusing of human rights.
